Art Shell declined to name a starter in a brief interview after practice, and he expects to wait until Sunday to make an announcement. But a person who was at practice told the San Francisco Chronicle that Brooks clearly took more snaps with the starters than second-year man Andrew Walter and an unnamed teammate told the paper afterward he thinks Brooks will start.
