Tight end Stephen Alexander (thumb) and Bell (toes), both of whom practiced without restriction Friday, were upgraded from questionable to probable for tomorrow's game against the Chargers.

While the upgrade is a good sign, we're still rather leery of Bell. The Broncos have a number of options (including Mike Bell) and even if Tatum Bell starts -- which (as those who remember his last-minute deactivation in Pittsburgh, while listed as probable, two weeks ago will tell you) -- there's no guarantee he'll run effectively enough to please head coach Mike Shanahan. ... We'll continue to watch for more on this situation, but for now we advise proceeding with caution.
