The timetable is a critical development that could move his recovery closer to eight months than 12 months. When McNabb visited Dr. James Andrews last week, the Eagles hoped surgery could be done in a matter of days. But the swelling was so extensive McNabb returned to Philadelphia and underwent rehab to reduce the inflammation and improve his range of motion. ... If the surgery is done now, the Eagles are optimistic McNabb could be back in some form in late July.
