The Eagles signed Whalen to a two-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the team on Tuesday. Whalen had 17 career catches for 152 yards in three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who drafted him in the fifth round in 2000.
