Brad Childress would not address his situation at QB after Sunday's loss to the Bears, saying he would decide midweek on a starter for Sunday's game at Detroit. Brad Johnson was benched after throwing interceptions on three consecutive possessions in the third quarter. The mistakes, one of which was returned for a touchdown, helped the Bears turn a 7-6 halftime lead into a 21-6 advantage.
