The Facts:
Delhomme missed practice Wednesday with a sprained right thumb and is questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. John Fox said X-rays taken after the game were negative and an MRI on Tuesday showed no serious damage.

Delhomme was injured when his throwing hand hit a helmet on his 9-yard touchdown pass to Steve Smith in the first quarter. Delhomme continued to play and coach John Fox said he wasn't aware of the injury until after the game. Backup Chris Weinke took the snaps with the first team Wednesday. If Delhomme can't play, Weinke would make his first NFL start since 2001.
