The Dolphins placed Culpepper on injured reserve Tuesday. "Even though Daunte was making good progress in his rehabilitation, we both felt, along with our medical staff, that it would be very difficult for him to be ready to play in the next three weeks," Nick Saban said.

Culpepper had undergone arthroscopic knee surgery in November to remove a piece of cartilage that has hampered his recovery from reconstructive surgery a year ago. Obviously, Culpepper's focus not turns toward getting ready for 2007.
