The Facts:
Bell had 32 yards in the first quarter, but after his fumble was picked up by the Cardinals and returned for a touchdown, he got just six more carries and finished with 29 yards.

Costly as it was, the fumble by itself wasn't all that sent Bell to the sideline. It was also how he seemed tentative on his next carry, gaining just 1 yard. At that point, running backs coach Bobby Turner removed Bell and replaced him with rookie Mike Bell. For the rest of the afternoon, Mike Bell became the Broncos' running back. Tatum Bell was left 73 yards shy of 1,000 with two games remaining.
