The Browns placed Wright on injured reserve Tuesday. Wright suffered an MCL strain during Sunday's loss at Baltimore.

Although Wright seemed to believe the injury wasn't serious, the team apparently decided he wouldn't be able to contribute over the last two weeks. Rookie Chris Barclay, the 2005 ACC Offensive Player of the Year at Wake Forest, was promoted to fill Wright's roster spot. Still, Reuben Droughns and Jerome Harrison seem likely to handle the backfield chores in the final two games.
