The Mobile Press Register reported that the Crimson Tide offered Saban an eight-year deal worth between $35 and $40 million. Saban, who had three years left on his five-year, $22.5 million contract with the Dolphins, met with Huizenga on Tuesday before informing the owner of his decision on Wednesday. ... Huizenga told reporters at a subsequent news conference that the team had already begun the search process necessary to replace Saban.
