The Facts:
Shockey's swollen left ankle has improved considerably and there is a good chance the Pro Bowl tight end will play for the New York Giants on Sunday in the NFC wild card game against the Philadelphia Eagles. "I want to play every Sunday," Shockey said Wednesday. "It's getting better every day and hopefully I'll be able to do something this week."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Tom Coughlin said that Shockey, who had a team-high 66 catches for 623 yards and seven touchdowns, would do some individual work Wednesday and possibly practice on Thursday. Our best guess now: Look for Shockey to make good on Coughlin's hope he's able to get in some serious work Thurdsay and then play Sunday.
