The Steelers have a called a news conference for 1 p.m. tomorrow to announce that Bill Cowher will retire after 15 seasons, sources have told the Post-Gazette. Cowher, 49, will attend the news conference to announce his decision.

According to the Post-Gazette, Cowher called Steelers chairman Dan Rooney this afternoon and said he did not want to wait any longer to announce his decision. Cowher was going to wait until Monday, but he did not want to delay the Steelers' search for his successor.
