Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports the Falcons have told candidates for the Falcons head coaching job they are not necessarily married to Vick and the new head coach will determine if Vick is the Falcons quarterback for the long term.

Vick was thought to be an untouchable in the Falcon’s organization so Mortensen's report was somewhat suprrising. Vick has been the face of the franchise since being drafted as the number one overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. But, as the Red Zone report pointed out, Vick embarrassed the organization in November when he made an obscene gesture to fans after aloss to the Saints and recent post-game comments -- focusing more on his personal accomplishments than team issues -- haven't gone over well in all quarters.
