The Facts:
Johnson said Tuesday he would accept the team's one-year tender of $6.3 million and will play in 2005. He's expected to sign the deal Wednesday, but is still seeking a long-term deal with the Bengals. The club won't comment officially until Johnson signs the contract.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Johnson had indicated he would sit out the season if he couldn't get a long-term deal, but said Tuesday, "It is what it is. I'm just going to play. It's what I do best." As
ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli noted, signing the deal guarantees the money and means that the Bengals cannot rescind the designation at a later date. It also means that Johnson is off the market in terms of being able to talk to other clubs.
