The Facts:
As expected, the Buccaneers have gotten rid of Johnson, the quarterback who led the team to victory in Super Bowl XXXVII over the Oakland Raiders. Also Tuesday, the Buccaneers released receiver Joe Jurevicius.

Johnson, who is likely to be of some interest to the Cardinals, was benched after the Bucs lost their first four games last fall, and did not play again. Some observers still believe he got a bit of a raw deal when Jon Gruden benched him. Since late in the 2003 season, however, scouts have been talking about Johnson's declining arm strength.
