The Facts:
The Eagles announced Thursday that Owens had two surgical screws removed from his right ankle earlier this week. The procedure was performed by Dr. Mark Myerson in Baltimore, who inserted the screws during an operation on Owens on Dec. 22 and then wouldn't clear him to play in the Super Bowl.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Owens, of course, played anyhow and all indications he came through the game fine. This week's removal of the screws was another move in a positive direction. Owens will continue his rehabilitation with the team's training and medical staff.
