The Texans made assistant HC Mike Sherman their offensive coordinator and promoted Kyle Shanahan to QBs coach on Wednesday.

Sherman, the former Packers head coach, just finished his first season with the Texans. He was recently a finalist for the Cardinals' head coaching job. Sherman replaces Troy Calhoun, who became the coach for the Air Force Academy. Shanahan, the son of Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan, was the Texans' receivers coach this past season.
