Miami Police said Friday that Johnson -- questioned earlier in the week about a homicide -- is not a suspect, person of interest or witness in the fatal shooting of a childhood acquaintance.

The story that Johnson had talked to police Monday broke Thursday. By Friday afternoon, it was clear that Johnson had nothing to do with the case and had cooperated fully with what essentially proved to be routine police business. "He has been pretty forthright. He has been helpful," Detective Delrish Moss, a police spokesman, told the Enquirer. It is unlikely that Johnson would be called back for questioning, the detective added.
