After waiting on a runway for two hours because of poor weather in Chicago, Bears DC Ron Rivera finally arrived at Cowboys headquarters this afternoon and interviewed with owner Jerry Jones and team VP Stephen Jones. "There's a vicious rumor going around that Chicago didn't want me to leave," he joked. ... The Cowboys will interview Colts assistant head coach/quarterbacks Jim Caldwell on Wednesday morning.

The Cowboys only sought permission to interview Rivera as a potential head coach and Rivera stressed he wasn't interested in another coordinator job."I'm here to discuss being the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys," he said. ... Meanwhile, sources told ESPN.com's Matt Mosley one of the holdups to Norv Turner's candidacy is that he doesn't think Jason Garrett is ready to be an offensive coordinator. Jones would like for Garrett to take on some of the play-calling reponsibilities, but sources said Turner doesn't think he's ready. ... Stay tuned.
