Report: Kevin Jones Now Expected To Miss Up To Half Of 2007
(2/10 1:59 PT)

The Facts:
Lions sources said they now expect to lose Jones for at least half the 2007 season due to the Lisfranc injury he suffered in December that required surgery on his left foot three days later. Up until now, there had been questions surrounding when Jones might be able to return. Now the Lions are hoping Jones will be able to return six to eight weeks into the 2007 season. Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
That being the case, NFL Network insider Adam Schefter notes that Detroit must revise its offseason priorities. The Lions will explore the free-agent market and take a look at San Diego restricted free-agent Michael Turner and Arizona's unrestricted Marcel Shipp. The Lions, scheduled to pick second in April's NFL draft, also like Oklahoma RB Adrian Peterson, but concerns about his durability and injury history will come into play.
