The Facts:
Jones has a serious left foot injury. But his recovery is on schedule, and he is optimistic he will be ready to start the 2007 season in his usual spot atop the depth chart. Lions head athletic trainer Al Bellamy said then that Jones' injury was a "three-plus" on a scale of one to three. Bellamy said Tuesday the Lions were "extremely happy" with Jones' progress.
