An offseason of transition continues for the Giants. On Monday, the Giants released linebackers LaVar Arrington and Carlos Emmons and tackle Luke Petitgout. The moves continued on Tuesday when the Giants waived Morton, the team's primary punt and kick returner for the last two seasons.

Morton suffered a torn ACL in a December 24 game against New Orleans. He finished seventh in the NFC with a 9.2-yard average on 29 punt returns and also averaged 21.6 yards on 31 kickoff returns this past season.
