Portis is coming off shoulder surgery that could sideline him at least through the team's mini-camp in June. He should be fully healthy by the start of training camp. Reported by Redskins.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Redskins will be worth watching this offseason. As noted in last Sunday's Fantasy Notebook, all involved seem to be dead set on Portis and Ladell Betts entering 2007 as "partners" in the team's backfield. It can work -- as they demonstrated back in Week 3 last season. Portis rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, while Betts logged 124 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries in a 31-15 win over the Texans. Portis also added a 74-yard pass reception. ... Again, the situation bears watching.
