With it looking more likely that Garcia will not return to the Eagles next season, two league sources said last night that the Broncos could pursue his services when the free-agent market opens Friday.

Garcia's agent, Steve Baker, said Friday that if the two sides had not struck a deal before the free-agent period opened, the Eagles did not expect to re-sign his client. With Jake Plummer expected to move on, the Broncos will be in the market for a backup to Jay Cutler. ... Baker said Friday that Garcia will have plenty of options once the free-agent market opens. But as Inquirer staffer Bob Brookover suggests, it's looking like the Eagles aren't among them.
