Although the
new deal he signed Tuesday isn't necessarily for starting money, the mere decision to re-sign Damon Huard would seem to indicate the Chiefs have opted for him instead of Green to battle against Brodie Croyle to be next year’s starting quarterback. A source also told The Star the Chiefs have called other teams offering Green in a trade.
