The Facts:
The 49ers and the representative for Bryant met last weekend in Indianapolis and discussed Bryant's possible release from the team. A team official acknowledged that the meeting took place but, after talking to Mike Nolan, the official said no decisions on Bryant had been made.

Bryant missed the last two games of the season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He has two more games left on his suspension, which arose from a Nov. 20 arrest in San Mateo for reckless driving and resisting arrest. On the field, Bryant led the 49ers with 733 receiving yards, but only made 40 receptions and clashed with coaches, including Nolan. ... Stay tuned. More as developments warrant.
