After talking to a couple of people around the league, it appears extremely unlikely that Moss will be coming to New England.

previously noted here, a story out of Green Bay reporting on the Packers' interest mentioned the Patriots "reportedly" being in the running as well. But as Herald staffer John Tomase noted, Moss doesn't make much sense, even with the Pats' dearth of receivers. Tomase summed up: "He's 30, has declined noticeably over the last three years, is due $20 million the next two seasons, and quit on the Raiders last year. Does that sound like a Patriots kind of player? Didn't think so. ..."
