Wow. That's a lot of money for a guy who failed to demonstrate much in New York. In four seasons with the Giants, Shiancoe caught 35 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns, none in the past two seasons. As St. Paul Pioneer Press staffer Sean Jensen suggested, the Vikings could be banking on revealing Shiancoe's potential, as they did with running back Chester Taylor a year ago.
