The team's need for a back capable of handling short-yardage and goal-line work is clearly behind the interest. It's worth noting the Lions are being coy about the knee injuries to Shawn Bryson and Brian Calhoun. MLive.com's Tom Kowalski wouldn't surprise me if they tried to stash Calhoun for a season on IR for another season. Whatever the case, Detroit clearly has a need and Duckett would help fill it -- if the two sides can get together.
