The Facts:
The Patriots' courting of Welker took another step today, as Welker is en route to Gillette Stadium to visit with team officials. "I really think it’s too early to get into conversations, the only thing right now is that he's on his way, traveling up there now," said Vann McElroy, Welker's agent.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Welker, who is coming off a career-high 67-catch season, was tendered a one-year, $1.3 million contract by the Dolphins. As
previously noted, the Patriots have prepared an offer sheet. If Welker signs, as expected, the Dolphins would have seven days to match it. If the Dolphins elected not to match, they would receive a second-round draft choice from the Patriots (60th overall).
