Johnson agreed to terms today on a three-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys, where he’ll back up young starter Tony Romo.

Johnson visited Denver over the weekend and was believed to be the Broncos' top choice to back Jay Cutler. However, Star-Tribune staffer Kevin Seifert notes that Johnson has a strong comfort level with Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. Apparently enough so to back Romo instead of Cutler.
