Panthers GM Marty Hurney said Monday he recently spoke with Johnson and anticipates the veteran wide receiver will return for another season with the team.

Speaking on a local radio show, Hurney said Johnson, who has three years left on his current contract, will be back for a second season with the club. That, despite the fact Johnson expressed reservations in December about playing for the Panthers if they fired offensive coordinator Dan Henning.
