In their search for a backup to Joey Harrington, the Lions also unterviewed and evaluated Jeff Garcia, who played for Lions head coach Steve Mariucci in San Francisco, and had planned to host Kurt Warner before he signed with the Arizona. Depending on Garcia's asking price and the decisions in Denver and Seattle, however, Johnson still could wind up as the Lions' backup quarterback by process of elimination.
