Agent Drew Rosenhaus said he expects talks with the 49ers over a new contract for Gore to "heat up" in the next few days. "Obviously, [contract talks for Gore have] to heat up after where the market has gone the past week for running backs," Rosenhaus said.

This after Willis McGahee, traded to Baltimore this morning, became the third RB client of Rosenhaus to receive a new deal in the past week. Fred Taylor signed an extension with the Jaguars on March 1 and Thomas Jones got a new deal after being traded by the Bears to the Jets on Tuesday.
