The Facts:
Willis McGahee was traded to the Ravens for two third-round draft picks and a seventh-rounder. That was way above what the Giants were willing to pay, since GM Jerry Reese said he would refuse to part with any draft picks in the first three rounds. That stance will likely also take him out of the bidding for Bell, who is being shopped by the Lions. The price for him is believed to include a second-round pick.

Meanwhile, Dominic Rhodes, who has already visited the Bills, was in Tennessee yesterday and is now on his way to Oakland. As Daily News staffer Ralph Vacchiano suggests, the more teams Bell visits, the higher his price is likely to go, and the less likely it becomes that he’ll sign with the Giants.
