Meier became the latest former Titan to land on his feet elsewhere as he agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the New Orleans Saints last night. Meier had a visit scheduled for Pittsburgh on Sunday, but he took the Saints offer after meeting with head coach Jim Haslett, among others.

As the Sporting News suggested this week, the tight end was supposed to be a strength for New Orleans with Boo Williams and Ernie Conwell last season. but it was a major disappointment. Meier caught a career-high 25 passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns in 2004 despite missing two games after having his appendix removed during the season.
