The Facts:
The Giants reworked Droughns' contract to facilitate the trade with the Browns. The new deal averages $1.9 million over three years, so it's roughly the equivalent of half of what Droughns was scheduled to earn with the Browns. His cap number for this season is $1.25 million (base salary plus one-third of his signing bonus).

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Star-Ledger staffer Mike Garafolo noted, Brandon Jacobs is scheduled to earn less than $1 million in salary over the next two seasons combined, though he will probably get a new contract either late this year or next off-season if he has a big year.
