Rumors persist that Rodgers is on the trading block in a possible deal for Raiders receiver Randy Moss. GM Ted Thompson, who should know better than anyone, doesn't put a lot of stock in such speculation. "It's never been discussed inside the building or outside the building," said Thompson when asked about a possible Rodgers trade.

being told not to discuss it. Discuss what? It all still sounds a bit fishy. Nonetheless, Thompson drafted Rodgers in the first round in 2005 with the intention he would be the Packers' quarterback of the future. Nothing has changed Thompson's mind about that. Whether Rodgers gets a chance to prove the GM right in Green Bay remains to be seen.
