told reporters last month that Perry is looking at "a long road" back from surgery for a broken fibula in which plates were inserted in his lower leg. ... Meanwhile, the Bengals recently re-signed Kenny Watson, who is seems much more likely to open the 2007 season as Rudi Johnson's top backup and as the team's third-down, change-of-pace back than Perry.
