Discussing his rehab from a torn right ACL suffered last November, McNabb expressed confidence he would be back for the start of the season during several ESPN interviews yesterday. Asked specifically if he thought he would be ready to play in the first game of the year, McNabb said: "Absolutely. I'm looking forward to having a great season and playing with the great acquisitions we've just had and the ones to come."

Earlier this week, Andy Reid told the Inquirer that McNabb was "a little ahead of schedule" in his rehabilitation but was not likely to be back on the practice field until at least the start of training camp in late July. McNabb expressed optimism that he could be back on the field sooner.
