The Facts:
HC Rod Marinelli said the team was hopeful that Jones, who suffered a foot injury last season, would be ready for training camp. "Everybody keeps talking that he may have a shot for training camp," Marinelli said. "We'll see. He's working extremely hard, but you just don't know."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Free Press staffer Weldon B. Johnson noted, the acquisition of former Bronco Tatum Bell (through trade) and T.J. Duckett (free agency) provide the team with insurance if Jones isn't able to come back. "One thing Tatum does is give us that home-run hit," Marinelli said. "His speed is something we need. He's a guy who can make somebody miss and go 70 yards. We don't have a lot of that on our team. ..." Of course, they'll need more than that if Jones' recovery doesn't continue at pace. ... Stay tuned. We'll continue to follow his progress closely.
