The Cowboys are not serious about acquiring Turner in a trade or signing him in free agency. If anything, because Wade Phillips coached in San Diego, a phone call was probably made as a courtesy. Don't expect Turner to join Dallas.

As noted in
a previous update, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported the Cowboys, Jets, Titans and Bills as being interested in Turner -- a list that turns out to be a bit inflated. In addition to the Morning News report regarding the Cowboys, Scout.com's Adam Caplan told us earlier tonight that the Jets were indeed interested in Turner -- right up they acquired Thomas Jones from Chicago. ... That leaves the Bills and Titans. There have been rumors indicating the Packers are also interested in Turner, but the Chargers haven't confirmed any inquiries from Green Bay.
