Sean Payton and GM Mickey Loomis said they felt it necessary to visit with free-agent kicker Mike Vanderjagt because of his statistical accuracy. Don't expect, however, that Vanderjagt will be signed.

Vanderjagt hasn't been the same since he shanked a last-second field goal attempt in the Indianapolis Colts' 21-18 loss to the Steelers in a 2006 divisional playoff game. He battled accuracy problems after going to Dallas, and the Cowboys released Vanderjagt during the 2006 season.
