Robinson could be in line for more carries in San Francisco. Frank Gore rushed for a team-record 1,695 yards on 312 carries in 2006, but Mike Nolan said he would lighten Gore's load next season.

Robinson, who saw considerable action as a running back and wide receiver his first three seasons at Penn State, rushed for 116 yards on 38 carries last season as one of Gore's backups. Robinson's role could depend greatly on current teammate Maurice Hicks, a restricted free agent who is drawing some interest from around the league. If Hicks goes, Robinson's chances of contributing obviously look even better.
