The Falcons search for a backup QB has shifted Jay Fielder, who's battling back from a severe shoulder injury. Fielder, a former starter with the Dolphins, is set to workout Wednesday for the Falcons, according to his agent Bryan Levy.

Fielder sat out last season rehabilitating his right, throwing shoulder after being released by Tampa Bay in June. ... The Falcons also are interested in Anthony Wright, who is also considering the Bengals and Panthers. Wright visited Carolina last week. The Falcons also have contacted Tim Rattay's agent, but their interest in Rattay has reportedly cooled.
