The Panthers plan to meet with Harrington today, one day after getting acquainted with another available quarterback in David Carr. Harrington, who just returned from his honeymoon in Africa, is hoping to fly to Charlotte today if all goes according to plan, said the player’s agent Joby Branion.

According to Gazette staffer Steve Reed, it’s unclear how Carr’s visit went but he did leave without a contract. The fact that Harrington will arrive today is a strong indication the two sides are not close to a deal. Carr is expected to fly to Seattle to meet with the Seahawks this week and the Dolphins have also entered the mix. Carr could have other options as well, including the Vikings.
