Earlier this week, Jeff Fisher said, based on the timetable followed by other players who've had the same injury, Givens has a chance to be ready for the start of the regular season. Others in the organization aren't nearly as optimistic.

Givens didn't just suffer a torn anterior cruciate ligament Nov. 12 against the Ravens. He also tore his meniscus, which had to be repaired, and he broke a bone in his knee, which required bone plugs in the break. ... Needless to say, we'll be watching Givens' progress closely in coming months.
