The Facts:
Mike Williams and Josh McCown were conspicuously absent from the Lions’ first off-season practice today. The practice was voluntary. HC Rod Marinelli stressed that, but he has made it clear he wants players who want to be here, and Williams and McCown, by their absence, made it clear they want to be elsewhere.

McCown’s agent, Mike McCartney, said: "We've got great respect for the Lions. Josh sees himself as a starter in this league, and I agree with him." The Raiders are said to be discussing a possible trade for McCown with the Lions. ... As for Williams, MLive.com beat man Tom Kowalski suggest the receiver's absence all but guarantees the former first-round pick will be released before the start of the regular season.
