Scheffler learned as a rookie last season one thing it takes to be an effective NFL tight end -- bulk. So Scheffler has gotten significantly bigger. Scheffler said Thursday he weighs 265 pounds, after ending last season at 235. Scheffler said he would like to play at about 255 pounds.

Scheffler said he is looking forward to playing in the same offense with newly signed free-agent tight end Daniel Graham. Although Graham will be part of the passing offense, Scheffler will still be a top receiving option for quarterback Jay Cutler. Graham is regarded as an elite blocker.
