The Facts:
Culpepper, who is not participating in the three-day mini-camp that began this morning, said today that the knee surgery he had in November was more serious than then-coach Nick Saban said. Culpepper, who was on the sideline, riding a stationary bike this morning, said the procedure to remove cartilage required a rehabilitation period of four to six months.

Saban had said at the time that the surgery wasn't a "serious thing. ..." Culpepper has not put a timetable on his return. The only QBs in camp are Cleo Lemon, who is running the first-team offense this week, and Gibran Hamdan. HC Cam Cameron was asked about Culpepper's future with the team: "It's a work in progress," he answered. ... Stay tuned. We'll be watching.
